Saving Private Ryan
This event will feature two equal strength teams playing the
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN SCENARIO both Saturday and Sunday:
On Saturday; each team will play the role of the Americans twice and
the Germans twice.
Players will be allowed to reenter every 10 minutes for a one minute
window.
Players may shoot up to 13 balls
per second, 280 FPS, buy or bring unlimited paint, use homemade rocket
launchers, rubber axes, grenades, industry approved paintball mines. Also
motorized golf cart-size tanks will be allowed as long as you call Keith
FIRST and discuss play details.
THE RULES;
The American side will use two
reentry gates: the center and eastern green gates , these will both lie
within a colored safety ribbon keeping enemy players at least 30 yards
away.
The German side will use only the
western gate but will have two armored personal carriers for use within
their safety ribbon.
We will play two---one hour missions take lunch then
play two---one and a half hour missions. Only teams playing the American
side will score, Germans play the roll of spoiler.
AMERICANS FIRST MISSION; D-Day, Americans charge into
beach area face machine gun fire and 88 artillery fire. Take out the two 88's ( beach slingshots fired from log pillbox and
blue barrel fuel dump ). The Americans must get a sniper on the third floor of
the three story tower----he must be in place and live at the end of this
first hour. Total objectives completed--3
AMERICANS SECOND MISSION; Starting on their secure beach, they have one
and a half hours to complete 4 objectives, players will split up into companies. A company, will search the center of the now dry
swamp---locate a German radio transmitter--secure one stick of compound-B
ignite and evacuate, 1 objective complete......intel report: German resistance
will be heavy.
B company, will drop behind enemy lines.....locate private Ryan and
keep him alive and in place until any other American troops arrive, even
one. Once allied contact is made, the2nd objective is complete. Now American troops
must try to move Ryan back inside US safety ribbon beach area 3rd
objective complete.........intel report: the Germans are aware that Ryan
was spotted along the western edge of the play area---he is to be liquidated
ASAP. The Germans are also aware this mission will require B company to
endure long periods of quite and no movement.
C company, will locate a German command post---kill the guards---secure
the area then search for hastily dropped code books.---return these inside
the American safety ribbon 4th objective complete.......intel report: The
small German guard force at this post are battle tested professionals.
